      I know this blog has been strictly sport-related, but yesterday's events have made me feel like this article is as relevant as ever.      The tragic events that hit Florida State yesterday afternoon have changed many lives throughout Tallahassee and left the town in a heavy silence. It's an experience that no person or family should go through, and for many students, this has been their second experience with this tragedy.       I offer my deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. As a community, we will mourn your loss alongside you. For the students who were stuck in the middle of that terrible situation, your fellow Seminoles are here to offer you a place of comfort and support as we get through this tough time together.     This has caused so much trauma in the students who were caught in the middle of the crossfire, the faculty who risked their lives to protect the students, and the families surr...

Will FSU continue to respond to adversity as they have done throughout the season?

       The number seven Florida State Seminoles are back in action this afternoon to play their second game against the USF Bulls this season. The last time these two teams faced off, the Noles came out on top 6-2 in Tampa. Four FSU batters recorded two hits (Lodise, M. Williams, C. Williams, and Cal Fisher), and Evan Chrest was still on the mound. This FSU looks a little different now, as they're dealing with some injuries across the board, but this hasn't stopped them before.     Throughout the season, the Noles have responded to adversity time and time again.      After starting the season 15-0, FSU dropped their first game to the Florida Gators, where the Noles only put up two runs. They followed this with a sweep of the BC Eagles in their first conference series of the young season and outscored the Eagles 28-4.     The very next week, the Noles took a pretty bad midweek loss to Mercer, who has now defeated FSU in their last tw...
